Fortis Downtown Resort Limited – General Policy for Our Valued Guests

1. Payment Terms

  • To confirm your booking, 50% of the total amount must be paid in advance.
  • This advance is non-refundable.
  • Rooms/packages booked without advance payment will be subject to availability.
  • The remaining balance must be settled during checkout.

2. Postponement & Cancellation Policy

  • Booking advance amounts are non-refundable.
  • To cancel or postpone a reservation, guests must contact the Resort Reservation Team. Amendments must be made via email; verbal communication will not be accepted.
  • Guests can cancel/postpone their reservations, but the Resort authority is not liable to refund the advance amount. Postponements must be made 72 hours before the arrival date.
  • The advance paid amount can be adjusted against future bookings and will remain valid for the next 3 months. Guests must adjust their advance amount with the current/ongoing package. No previous/postponed packages will be accepted.

3. Check-in & Check-out Time

  • Night Stay: Check-in at 11:00 AM, checkout at 10:00 AM the next day.
  • Daylong: Check-in at 10:00 AM, checkout at 6:00 PM.
  • Evening: Check-in at 4:00 PM, checkout at 10:00 PM.

4. Identification

  • A valid photo ID is required at the time of check-in (NID/Passport/Driving License).
  • Foreign guests must present their passport and visa copy during check-in.

5. Smoking

  • All rooms are NON-SMOKING. Fortis Downtown Resort is a no-smoking property. A cleaning fee of BDT 2000++ will be added to your bill if you smoke inside the room.

6. Pets

  • We regret that pets are not allowed.

7. Alcohol

  • The consumption of alcohol is prohibited in the resort area.

8. Outside Food & Beverage

  • Outside food and beverages are strictly prohibited in Fortis Downtown Resort.

9. Security Policy

  • Fortis Downtown Resort is equipped with a CCTV system covering public areas.

10. Belongings

  • The Resort authority is not responsible for lost, damaged, or stolen personal items. Please use the safety locker provided in your room for valuable items.
  • If we find lost items, we will keep them safe and ship them back at your expense. Unclaimed items within thirty (30) days will be donated to a local charity or discarded.
  • For lost items, please email us with proper item details and photos at: reservation@fortisdowntownresort.com.

11. Swimming Pool

  • Guests are strongly requested to wear proper swimming attire and follow pool usage rules.
  • Acceptable fabrics: Nylon, polyester, spandex. Please avoid using cotton, denim, undergarments, or regular clothing.
  • Appropriate swimwear helps keep the water clean and is important for the health of all users.
